26 Jun BLOOM Wins Water’s Next Award for Water & Beer Platform
Kevin Jones and Michael Fagan took to the stage on June 22, 2017 in Toronto to accept a Water’s Next Award for BLOOM’s Water & Beer project initiative. BLOOM was also honoured to have been nominated in the ‘Company of the Year’ category.
Water Canada magazine’s Water’s Next Award is the only national awards program to honour leadership across the entire water sector. BLOOM would like to thank Water Canada and the Water’s Next selection committee for the award.
BLOOM created the Water & Beer online platform in partnership with the Ontario Craft Brewers to improve the water and resource management performance of Ontario’s craft beer industry.
“The Ontario Craft Brewers wants to congratulate BLOOM on winning this prestigious national award. The Water & Beer online platform is a practical and useful resource that is helping our member craft breweries adopt sustainable water management practices within their operations. We look forward to continuing our valuable and trusted partnership with BLOOM”, says Garnet Pratt, President & CEO of Side Launch Brewing Company and Chair, Ontario Craft Brewers.
“Our government is proud to promote the growth of Ontario’s craft beer industry, and invest in projects like BLOOM’s Water & Beer initiative which is helping craft brewers protect our freshwater resources. I wish to congratulate BLOOM on their award, and the Ontario Craft Brewers for their leadership and commitment to growing responsibly and creating good jobs in communities across our province.” – Jeff Leal, Ontario Minister of Food Agriculture and Rural Affairs.
In 2015, BLOOM had the honour of winning a Water’s Next award for the Water & Wine online platform it developed in partnership with the Wine Council of Ontario.
